The goal of GOTS is to define globally recognized requirements that ensure the organic status of textiles, from the collection of raw materials, including responsible manufacturing from an environmental, social and up to labeling to provide a credible guarantee to the end consumer; in other words, its focus is on generating trust and transparency throughout the supply chain.
